TWC Borobudur Gateball Team Wins 2018 JIO Gateball Competition

The Gateball Team of PT Taman Wisata Candi Borobudur, Prambanan & Ratu Boko (Persero) from the Taman Wisata Candi Borobudur work unit won first place in the 2018 Jogja Istimewa Open (JIO) Gateball competition held at the Siwa field, Prambanan Temple Complex on 21-22 July 2018.

"This JIO Gateball is an annual routine gateball activity, coincidentally this is also a series of TWC anniversary activities, and this is the second time
held," said Aryono Hendro, General Manager of TWC Prambanan after giving prizes to the first place winners.

Aryono further said that this activity was a collaboration between TWC Prambanan and Pergatsi Sleman Regency in developing Gateball sports, and this will continue to be held every year.

The second Gateball Jogja Istimewa Open tournament was attended by 32 teams from various regions, including from Bali, Sulawesi, Bandung, East Java and others. They were very enthusiastic to go to Prambanan to participate in this Gateball, all participants voluntarily came to enjoy the Gateball game with the beautiful background of Prambanan Temple. He said.

Aryono hopes that after the participants play Gateball at Prambanan Temple, of course there will be a good impression about Prambanan Temple, which can be taken home to their areas, bringing an impression, bringing a message to the surrounding community to visit Prambanan Temple.

This Gateball tournament competes for a total prize of Rp. 10.000.000. The first winner was the TWC Borobudur Gateball Team, which received Rp. 4.000.000 in coaching money and each participant received a medal. The second winner was the TJ Malangan Gateball Team, which received Rp.
3.000.000,- and medals. The third place was won by Pergatsi Bantul and received coaching money of Rp. 2.000.000, and the medals and sixth place were won by PLN DJTY Elektrik Semarang and received coaching money of Rp. 1000.000,-.
