InJourney Destination Management Presents Eid Togetherness Moments at Temples

PT Aviasi Pariwisata Indonesia (Persero), or InJourney, has expressed its readiness to welcome the surge in travelers and tourists during this year's Eid al-Fitr holiday period. To celebrate the Eid al-Fitr holiday of 1447 H, InJourney Destination Management (IDM) presents a series of programs, "Together, Create a Meaningful Eid." IDM is committed to transforming destinations into spaces where stories and experiences can strengthen bonds of kinship, transforming every moment spent together into unforgettable, lasting memories. 

InJourney Destination Management Commercial Director Gistang Panutur said that this effort is fully supported by world-class customer experience standards designed in an integrated manner to ensure every tourist's journey runs smoothly.

"We invite the entire community to be part of presenting many stories during Eid at the temple. It's a day of profound togetherness, where the comfort of our visitors is our top priority. This is our effort to provide more than just a tourist attraction, but rather an emotional haven for those who long for the true meaning of togetherness," explained Gistang Panutur, Thursday (March 12, 2026).

The Indonesian Tourism Ministry (IDM) projects 356.300 tourist visits during the peak Eid al-Fitr holiday period from March 20–29, 2026, to Borobudur Temple Park, Prambanan Temple, Ratu Boko Palace, and Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (Beautiful Indonesia in Miniature Park). Tourist growth is expected to increase by 3–5 percent compared to last year.

Borobudur Temple is estimated to attract 83 visitors. Prambanan Temple is predicted to attract 129 visitors. Ratu Boko Palace is targeting 7,3 visitors. TMII is estimated to attract 137.000 visitors. 

The total audience for arts and cultural performances at Teater Pentas between March 21 and 28, 2026, is projected to reach 4,6. Meanwhile, the occupancy rate at The Manohara Hotel Yogyakarta is estimated at around 900. room during the peak Eid period from March 19–27, 2026

IDM emphasized that this optimism is accompanied by infrastructure and service readiness, where the increase in tourist numbers must be accompanied by an increase in service standards to ensure the tourism ecosystem remains sustainable.

IDM ensures comfort through operational readiness by prioritizing priority groups by providing free wheelchairs and ramps for the disabled, special priority electric vehicles (EVs) with fast lanes, a health team on standby, and services call center priority. 

“We provide more than 50 electric vehicle at TMII and TWC Borobudur and TWC Prambanan. For tourists taking the LRT to TMII, we also provide pick-up. shuttle bus from the LRT station to TMII," continued Gistang Panutur.

Visitor safety and security remain a key pillar of IDM's operations. During the 2026 Eid al-Fitr holiday season, IDM is deploying hundreds of external security personnel, including Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) and Indonesian National Police (Polri) personnel, 160 internal security personnel, and 17 professional medical personnel. Seven amMonthces are also on standby for rapid referrals to the nearest hospital if needed. 

During the 2026 Eid al-Fitr peak period, visitors can visit during the designated operating hours: Borobudur Temple from 6:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Western Indonesian Time (WIB), Prambanan Temple from 6:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Western Indonesian Time (WIB), and Ratu Boko Palace from 7:00 a.m. to 5:15 p.m. Western Indonesian Time (WIB). Through these comprehensive preparations, IDM is ready to welcome tourists to celebrate Eid al-Fitr in a safe, comfortable, and memorable atmosphere.

IDM has prepared various agendas to celebrate Eid at the temple, including the Medang Market which not only presents unique crafts and souvenirs, but also a variety of culinary specialties from local MSMEs, creative workshops, and stunning art performances.

IDM also invites visitors to take aesthetically pleasing photos with iconic backdrops, wearing Prambanan's traditional clothing. For Eid al-Fitr 1447 H, IDM will distribute Besek Berkat (Blessing Packages) to 50 selected visitors to Borobudur and Prambanan Temples.

Corporate Social Responsibility Program: #IDMImpact "A Meaningful Ramadan"

As a form of social responsibility, IDM also spread kindness by sharing with 200 orphans from orphanages near the destination and distributing 3.000 basic food packages to meet the community's basic needs. The commitment to empowering the local economy was also strengthened by the involvement of 20 MSMEs in the Ramadan Village, as well as supporting community mobility through participation in the BUMN Free Homecoming program, which provided 100 bus seats. 

IDM also distributed 2.000 iftar meal packages (takjil) to residents near the company. IDM also distributed takjil to 400 worshippers at four mosques near the company: the Nurul Falah Karang Mojo Mosque, the Nurul Huda Sambirejo Mosque, the Dawung Bokoharjo Mosque, and the Al Kautsar Tlogo Mosque in Prambanan, Klaten.

Tawur Agung Kesanga & Closing of Prambanan Temple during Nyepi

Prambanan Temple will be the location for the Tawur Agung Kesanga Saka New Year 1948. The activity, which will take place at the Wisnu Mandala field, Prambanan Temple Tourism Park complex, will be held on Wednesday, March 18, 2026. 

The 2026 Tawur Agung Kesanga is being organized by the Central Java branch of the Indonesian Hindu Dharma Council (PHDI). This pre-Nyepi Day service is planned to be attended by approximately 30 to 35 devotees from various regions, from Java to Lampung to Bali.

"We are committed to providing the best possible service for the 30 to 35 Hindu devotees expected to fill the Wisnu Mandala field at Prambanan Temple. Our entire operational team has been deployed to oversee the procession to ensure it remains orderly without compromising the sacredness of the worship service. Through close collaboration with the Parisada Hindu Dharma Indonesia (PHDI) Central Java branch, we strive to create an inclusive and tolerant celebration," explained Gistang Panutur.

Tawur Agung Kesanga will feature ogoh-ogoh, gunungan in a cultural parade that will be held within the Prambanan Temple Tourism Park area.

This year's Nyepi Day celebration carries the theme "Vasudaiva Kutumbakam: One Earth, One Family," which emphasizes the values ​​of universal brotherhood, tolerance, and shared responsibility in preserving the earth.

As a form of respect for Hindus who are carrying out the Catur Brata Penyepian on the Holy Day of Nyepi, InJourney Destination Management is temporarily closing the operations of the Prambanan Temple Tourism Park destination on the Holy Day of Nyepi, Saka New Year 1948, on Thursday, March 19, 2026. 

The operational closure of the Prambanan Temple Tourism Park during the Nyepi 2026 celebrations will begin on Thursday, March 19, 2026, from 6:00 a.m. WIB (Western Indonesian Time) and will continue until Friday, March 20, 2026, at 6:00 a.m. WIB. The closure will also be accompanied by a power outage in the surrounding area. During the closure, all areas of Zone I and Zone II of Prambanan Temple will be closed to tourism.

"Through this event, the management hopes that Prambanan Temple will continue to be a space of contemplation, uniting various levels of society in a spirit of kinship and togetherness as we approach Nyepi. This symbolizes our shared responsibility for preserving the site, developing arts and culture, and fostering social harmony in and around Prambanan Temple," he concluded.
