Capacity Building for Carita Caregivers at Borobudur Temple Tourism Park
InJourney Destination Management presents training Hospitality & Up Skill for Guide or Pamong Carita in the Borobudur Temple Tourism Park area. The training, attended by 80 pamong carita, aims to improve the quality of service and competence of tour guides or pamong carita at the Borobudur Temple Tourism Park destination.
The training, which collaborated with the Borobudur Museum and Cultural Heritage (MCB) and the Indonesian Tour Guide Association (HPI) of Magelang Regency, consisted of material on preserving cultural heritage as well as basic manner and public speaking This aims to strengthen the implementation hospitality while increasing the capacity of carita caregivers with the spirit of Serving Wholeheartedly.
Commercial Experience Group Head IDM Galuh Indah explained that this training is a space refresh for the Carita community regarding their roles and responsibilities as the front line in accompanying tourists, including the messages and experiences that need to be conveyed and taken home by each visitor.

This way, tourists will not only come once but also want to return," explained Galuh Indah at the opening of the training at the Borobudur Cultural Center on Monday (December 8, 2025).
Cultural heritage material is presented to ensure that the material presented by the community leaders aligns with the preservation efforts and noble values of Borobudur Temple. Meanwhile, related material basic manner and public speaking is part of increasing the capacity of pamong carita in delivering material that is memorable for tourists.
Commercial Head Group PT Taman Wisata Borobudur AY Suhartanto expressed his full support for the implementation of this activity as a means of refreshing the carita pamong, especially in the aspect of hospitality and competency improvement.

Meanwhile, one of the TWC Borobudur guides, Johan Wahyudi (32 years old), said that through this training, he could improve himself, especially in improving his appearance when taking tourists.

It turns out there are many things we need to pay attention to when hosting guests, from how to present well to the material we present. public speaking. "This is because the success of a storyteller lies in how he or she conveys the story to his or her visitors, including clarity of pronunciation and intonation when telling the story, so that tourists can grasp and be impressed by the story we tell," he concluded.
